DATES . The young and colorful shoe brand owes its name to the acronym of the names of the four founders, or DATE, who met in London in 2005. Dissatisfied with their working life, they decide to carry out an ambitious and innovative project, create their own line of sneakers and with many difficulties they prepare the first sample collection, made up of a few but original items.
In the garage of one of the four young founders of the DATE brand, an artisan laboratory is improvised where the creators of the brand meet in the evening after work to give life to the first sneakers. Closed day and night working in the garage: this is how the first DATE collection was born, with shoes made entirely by hand. In 2006 the brand made its first presentation at Pitti Immagine Uomo, obtaining a small space to exhibit the collection.
